Hi Ladies,
Wow I can’t believe it’s almost November already. I am not sure where the time is going. Last time I looked we were enjoying a beautiful September and this morning I looked out and I saw white things floating down. I guess the snowbirds will be leaving soon. Lucky people…. Well mid September I attended the Masonic Family meeting and we discussed doing another Christmas wrapping session at the Garden City mall this December. At the Oct meeting the ladies voted they would like to participate again. We will get more info about dates etc at the next Family meeting on November 2nd so I will let you know at our next meeting. We had our “spur of the moment “ garage sale on Sept 21st. It was a lovely day and we had lots of donations from you Ladies as well as from some Shriners. The money we made is just gravy that we hadn’t planned on. We also sold about 4 books of raffle tickets. A BIG thank you to the ladies who came out Friday to help set up and on Saturday to work. Also to Rick Holberg and Steve Garrow for their able assistance. The Potentate’s Ball weekend seemed very successful and was a lot of fun. A thank you to all who made it happen. On Saturday morning First Lady Irene had a Ladies Luncheon and we were asked to bring greetings from KLA. I also handed out an info sheet on our group to the new Candidates Ladies. I attended the Nile Casino night, the Phoenix Lodge fish fry and the Job’s Daughter’s fall supper is tonight. Octoberfest on Friday evening was a fun and successful night. The German band was great and full of enthusiasm, the 23 silent auction prizes were wonderful and the food yummy. The decorations supplied by Bernice Blakeman were fantastic. A BIG thank you to Cathy Kabernick and her committee for all their work and a great evening. Our December 4th meeting and luncheon at Shrine House is coming up soon. Ticket are available from myself at 204-255-5545 or at the Nov meeting. They are $25.00. Come on out and visit. I think that’s all for now. See you all at our November 4th meeting.
