Who We Are and What We Do

When and Where We Meet

Khartum Ladies' Auxiliary is a non-profit charitable organization with membership of approximately 85 ladies.  We are a registered charitable organization and as such, tax receipts may be issued for any donation.  To make a donation or to learn more about how you can help, visit our "Donate" page.

The mandate of our organization is to raise funds to support Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation, and any organization ministering to children living with disabilities within the Khartum Shrine jurisdiction. We support the Khartum Shrine Patient Transportation fund as well as fund equipment, computer programs, toys, books, etc for the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation.

We provide a tote bag for each child travelling to one of the Shrine Hospitals for treatment for the first time. Each bag has the child’s name on it and contains age appropriate books, trinkets, small items of clothing plus toiletries.

Organized on February 6, 1925, with a $300.00 advance received from the Khartum Shriners, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Shriners’ Hospital for Children , the Winnipeg Unit, was born.

Today, the ladies in this group combine fun and fund raising in such a way that benefits children living with disabilities.

Meetings are usually the first Monday of each month, September to May and our new meeting location is at the Masonic Memorial Centre, 420 Corydon Ave, Winnipeg, MB.   Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m.
