2019 Executive
Well a new year is upon us and I look forward to leading and working beside each of you during 2019
as your president of Khartum Ladies Auxiliary. In our 94th year we have a great tradition to uphold.
We are a group of hard working dedicated ladies who raise funds to make a difference in special needs children’s lives. As such we have some fun things to look forward to this year. We have a guest speaker at our February 4 meeting. Illustrious Sir Doug McKechnie and his Divan will host a tea for us following our March 4 meeting. April is busy with our meeting April 1. Special entertainment has been arranged for our annual meeting April 4, and our card party April 18. A fun 50/60 Sox hop is planned for June 1st with The Curtis Newton Band with special guest Ron Paley. Put on your dancing shoes, grab some other friends and come out and enjoy some great music. We have other things in the planning stages for the fall.
I look forward to working with Lady Brenda McKechnie, our honorary president, and in-coming Queen for Daughters of the Nile, Georgette Holberg on joint fund raisers and other Masonic family organizations to raise awareness of all our individual groups
I look forward to working with each of you this year and making 2019 another successful year for everyone.

Message from our 2017 President
Happy New Year to all our Ladies!! I wish many wonderful and healthy years to you and your family.
Thank you for electing me as your President for 2017 and congratulations to the other elected officers. Thank you to the ladies who have accepted a position on a committee as these positions are very important in the operation of our Auxiliary.
We will try to have a fun year and I will need your help and guidance in making our events successful for another year. Our success reflects on the amount of assistance we can give the children who need to have a better quality of life. If you have any suggestions or ideas to make or do our work better, please approach me to discuss your thoughts.
To the ladies who have been members for many years, you have my admiration for all the hard work and the monies you have raised for children in need of a better life. Your hard work and dedication has been an inspiration to others. So congratulations and I hope you have some energy left to continue this good work. To our shut-ins, please know that we think of you often and wish you all the very best in the coming year and always.
Membership in any organization is always an issue and one that needs every member’s attention and we would appreciate all efforts to help increase our numbers.
I am looking forward to working with you this year and hope with our combined enthusiasm and energy we will have a successful year.
Regards
Carol Hadley

Message From our 2016 President
Greetings to all and congratulations to our 2016 Executive and Committees. As we begin another year, we look forward to working together in our efforts to help the children. We hope the year will be filled with friendship, cheer and that we will continue to make a difference in the lives of children living with disabilities!
From the first time I walked into a meeting of the Khartum Ladies Auxiliary I felt a warmth and friendliness that I had not felt in the numerous organizations I have belonged to in the past. I knew at that time that I wanted to belong to this organization and meet the ladies who have spent so much of their time and energy in raising money to make even one child’s life just a little easier.
Well I have since found out that this organization has truly helped so many with the funds it has raised. In fact, over the years we have proudly raised in excess of $285,000.00 for the children. Remember we have very little overhead and we can proudly state that almost all of the funds raised by our organization are used for the children. Our funds are donated to the Shriners for their Patient Transportation fund or it goes to the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation to complete the Wish List provided to our organization each year.
My focus this year will be Membership. As we all know getting new members into our organization can only aid in our mandate. We need to seriously look to ladies who are available during the day from other organizations and maybe not aware of what we do or for whom we do it. It’s all about the children.
I would also like to add a little fun into our fundraisers, by perhaps organizing day trips to South Beach Casino, to having a Spaghetti Night or a night at Rumors Night Club. Fundraisers which are already in the works are the Bridge Party. The Raffle and Morden’s Chocolates.
I am trying to book some interesting speakers for our meetings. As in the past to aid us in making our lives just a little bit easier.
I will be looking for your help and enthusiasm to help me through the year. I know you all will not be shy for one thing I have learned from the ladies of this organization is that when called upon you will be there in full force.
Please accept my thanks to all of the ladies who have accepted committee chairs and executive positions for this coming year. Nothing can be accomplished without you and the many ladies who will help you in our various endeavors.
