Just a reminder of the “SISTERS OF THE HOLY ROCK” concert on Saturday, March 15th at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show is at 7:00 p.m.  Our Past Presidents have kindly offered to serve baking, coffee and tea after the show. Please come to see this fabulous show, bring a friend and help support our cause....the kids!  Tickets ($20.00) are available from Hope Rosenbaum or at the door.

Many ladies braved the cold weather to attend our March meeting which was so very inspirational.  We welcomed Illustrious Sir Rick Holberg and several members of his Divan.  Illustrious Sir brought greetings on behalf of Khartum Shrine.

Past President Shirley James surprised President Cathy and all the ladies with a cheque in the amount of $130.  Her granddaughter Laura and new husband Tyler decided to do something fun at their wedding --- instead just tinkling glasses for the bride & groom kiss fest, they asked everyone to make a donation to KLA.  Many thanks to Laura & Tyler and Congratulations on your recent wedding.

Also at the March meeting, The Children's Rehab Foundation made a special presentation thanking KLA for the work they do and for the support they give.  Several demonstrations were given of the various devices that assist some of the children at the hospital.  We also got to meet Jersey  - a very special young lady.  Jersey, Child Ambassador for 2014, is 8 years old.  She made a delightful speech thanking the ladies and then presented Cathy with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Cathy then presented Jersey with some little gifts after which, Jersey's Mother got up and thanked the ladies again.

The afternoon culminated with coffee, tea, and delicious cupcakes courtesy of the Children's Rehab Foundation.  They also presented each lady with a beautiful flower on the way out.
